This piece can be combined with two others to complete an triptych interpretation of the tall ship Gazela. The 1901 Portuguese wooden fishing boat has a copper-clad lower hull which protects the submerged areas from microbes, marine life, and damage from floating debris. 
 
Easily hung on a single nail or tacks, this small, lightweight painting has a sturdy enough cradle to stand unsupported and looks great on a shelf, mantle, or desk. These look great paired with other pieces in the series.
